4th Annual Bonspiel
HAPPY HOUR & NETWORKING
Benefiting Hearts & Hammers
The Hammer [ham-er]: noun
The last rock in an end — a huge advantage; the team with the last rock is said to, “Have the Hammer.”
The 4th Annual Hammer will take place on TBD at the St. Paul Curling Club. Proceeds raised will be used to fund the rehabilitation of approximately four homes in our community by Hearts and Hammers. One specific home will be dubbed “The Hammer House.”
WHAT IS THE HAMMER?
The Hammer is a one-day curling fundraising tournament designed to accommodate 16 teams of four curlers each. Donations and gifts will benefit Minnesota veterans through Hearts & Hammers, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The Hammer was developed to raise awareness and money for Hearts and Hammers, but additionally, it was established to serve as a fun, yet competitive networking event for young professionals in the Commercial Real Estate industry and related professions. It’s an opportunity for us to gather, and give back, while at the same time embracing a traditional Minnesotan pasttime. At the same time, we will raise awareness while we feature our premier supporting sponsors.
In addition to the 64 curlers, there will be an additional 70-90 attendees cheering on the curling teams, networking, and learning more about Hearts and Hammers and showcase the supporting sponsors. The Real Estate professionals attending the event will be “Connectors” resulting in a broad network of relationships.
A LITTLE ABOUT HEARTS & HAMMERS
The mission of Hearts & Hammers –Twin Cities is to provide exterior home improvement assistance for senior, disabled, and veterans of the United States Armed Forces, or their Surviving Spouse homeowners so that they may continue living independently. Hearts and Hammers will receive all proceeds from the event, after expenses. A minimum of $15,000 will be donated, enough to fully rehabilitate four homes. Additionally, Hearts & Hammers will be given the opportunity to share its mission to an unfamiliar audience who may be interested in volunteering in the future.
WHY YOU SHOULD GET INVOLVED
