Two Homes. Two States. One Incredible Day of Service.

On May 8, Braun Intertec pulled off something pretty remarkable.

While most companies might plan a single volunteer day and call it good, Braun Intertec went bigger – organizing two home projects in two different states on the same day. One team worked in Minnesota. The other in Texas. The mission? Help two longtime homeowners stay safe, comfortable, and proud in the homes they’ve loved for decades

In St. Paul, a Braun volunteer crew led by Director and Senior Engineer Brad McCarter helped out Camille, a 79-year-old homeowner who has lived in her 1.5-story home for more than 55 years. Camille lives with a disability, and like so many older adults, she’s invested years into her home but now finds the upkeep overwhelming. The team painted the home and garage siding and trim and brought new life to the landscaping. They repaved a small section outside of her door to make it safer for her to enter and exit her home. They even brought and assembled abrand-new lawn bench, giving Camille a comfortable spot to relax and take in the updates to her home.

Meanwhile, more than 1,000 miles away, another Braun Intertec team was hard at work in Dallas. Led by Client Development Coordinator LeAnn Belcher, the Texas crew tackled a much bigger scope for an 84-year-old, disabled homeowner named Aumilda.

Aumilda has lived in her in the Dallas home in the Forest Grove neighborhood since 1994, and it had been 25 years since it’s last paint job. Her home got the works: roof repairs, rebuilt chimney, patio repairs, fencing upgrades, and a full round of painting—from the siding and garage to the sidewalk and backyard. Oh, and plenty of yard work too. Aumilda has lived in her home for 30 years, and like Camille, she simply needed a little help to keep it going strong.

What made the day so powerful wasn’t just the scale of the work—it was the shared sense of purpose across two communities. Two different states. Two women with long-term commitments to their neighborhoods. And one company that stepped up to say, we’re here for you.

We’re grateful to Braun Intertec for going above and beyond and showing us how much is possible when service is rooted in heart and community.
